Witness for enterpriseOverviewRev 2026.09
Verified events, for the organizations that act on them.
Witness turns firsthand reports into records an organization can use: footage a newsroom can license, and structured events a data team can query. Both carry their confidence and their provenance.
Newsrooms and Data teams
Newsrooms
Footage you can stand behind.
Find footage from the people who were there, see the record behind it, and license it per use.

- The map, filtered to your regions and beats
Ground truth, structured.
Geotagged, timestamped, categorized events as JSON, each with a confidence score and a provenance record.
- Filter by area, category, time window and confidence
- Confidence with an interval, so you set the threshold
- Scoped keys and request logging
One event, two forms
The pin on the map is the record you receive.
A report captured in the app becomes the event an organization receives, with the evidence behind it.
What every organization gets
| Layer | What it means |
|---|---|
| Provenance | Where and when a file was captured, recorded at the moment of capture. |
| Confidence | How much independent evidence supports an event, and what moved that reading. |
| Scoped access | Access is set per organization, by region and category. |
How confidence works
Report confidence, reporter standing and event confidence are scored separately, and each shows what moved it.
